Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
The Indian Enforcement Index (IEI) is a research database maintained by TG Law Offices, a law firm registered in India. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use iei.tglaw.in.
IEI is operated in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) of India.
2. Your Consent and Rights
By using IEI, you acknowledge that you have read this privacy policy. You do not need to provide personal data to browse IEI's database.
If you have submitted personal data through a contact or feedback form, you have the right to: • Request access to the data we hold about you • Request correction or deletion of that data • Withdraw any consent given

3. Information We Collect
IEI does not require account creation to browse the database. If you submit a feedback form or contact enquiry, we collect the name, email address and message you provide.
Where analytics are enabled, we collect anonymised, aggregated usage data (pages visited, time on site). No personally identifiable information is collected.
4. How We Use Your Information
Information submitted through contact or feedback forms is used to respond to your enquiry, review your submission or correct database entries.
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising or profiling. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties except as required by law.
5. Named Individuals in the Database
IEI covers enforcement actions taken by Indian regulatory and criminal agencies. Individuals and entities named in the database are named in their capacity as subjects of public enforcement proceedings, as reported in official government publications.
All entries are sourced from official government sources and are matters of public record. The database does not include information beyond what is contained in those official sources.
6. Data Retention
Contact and feedback submissions are retained for a reasonable period for follow-up on the enquiry or correction. You may request deletion of your submission by emailing tanya@tglaw.in.
Database entries derived from official government sources are retained indefinitely as part of the research record.
7. Children's Data
IEI is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact tanya@tglaw.in and we will delete it promptly.
8. Cookies
IEI uses a single functional cookie (iei_admin_session) which is strictly necessary for administrator authentication. This cookie is not set for general visitors and is only activated upon admin login. It expires after 8 hours and does not track browsing activity.
We do not use advertising, tracking, analytics or third-party cookies.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to browse IEI's database.
9. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and interests, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, the relevant data protection authority within the timeframes mandated by applicable law, including the DPDPA 2023.

If you believe your personal data has been processed in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
