1. Purpose and Nature of the Database

The Indian Enforcement Index (IEI) is a research database maintained by TG Law Offices for informational and research purposes. IEI provides searchable summaries of enforcement actions taken by Indian regulatory and criminal agencies, sourced from official government publications.

IEI is designed for legal researchers, lawyers, journalists, academics and members of the public who wish to understand enforcement trends in India.

2. Not Legal Advice

Nothing in IEI or on this website constitutes legal advice. The summaries, analyses, tags and classifications in IEI are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal opinions or advice. For legal advice specific to your circumstances, you should consult a qualified lawyer.

TG Law Offices is not your lawyer by reason of your use of this database. No advocate-client relationship is created between you and TG Law Offices by reason of your use of IEI. Information published by TG Law Offices on IEI is not confidential and does not attract legal professional privilege.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

While TG Law Offices works to ensure the accuracy of all entries, IEI relies on official government publications which may themselves contain errors or be updated. Entries are verified by qualified lawyers but no warranty of completeness or accuracy is given.

IEI primarily covers enforcement actions from January 2025 onwards, with selected earlier matters including PACL (ED proceedings from 2015 onwards) and other high-significance pre-2025 actions. Coverage is broad but not exhaustive. If you identify an error, please email tanya@tglaw.in.

4. Intellectual Property

The structure, classification system, 19-field schema, Brief Facts summaries, notes and tags in IEI are the intellectual property of TG Law Offices. The underlying enforcement actions and press releases are government publications in the public domain.

You may cite IEI entries with appropriate attribution. You may not reproduce IEI's database structure or schema in bulk without written permission.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use IEI for lawful research, educational, journalistic and compliance purposes. You may not use IEI for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, systematically scrape the database in bulk without permission, represent IEI data as your own without attribution, or use IEI to harass individuals named in enforcement actions.

6. Data Sources

All entries in IEI are sourced from official government publications. Source links point to official government websites only. Secondary sources are cited separately and do not serve as primary sources.

7. Privacy

IEI does not collect personal data from users beyond what is necessary for account creation where applicable. Usage analytics may be collected in aggregate, anonymised form. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties.

Individuals named in enforcement actions are named in their capacity as subjects of public enforcement proceedings, as reported in official government publications.

8. Limitation of Liability

TG Law Offices shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of IEI or reliance on any entry therein. IEI is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Any disputes arising from use of IEI shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.

10. Accessibility
